We've been putting people and the planet first for 30 years (and counting). Accountability is an important part of the process. Here's what "doing good" actually means.

Environmental Impact

Sustainable Materials

We’re highly selective about what materials we use and where they’re sourced from. By prioritizing natural and recycled fibers, we help reduce deforestation, limit pollution, conserve energy, and protect waterways – keeping our environmental impact as low as possible through every step of the production process.

91.4%

of our cotton is certified organic or organic in conversion, which supports farmers in the process of organic certification. Anything not organic is recycled – no ifs, ands, or buts.

20%

of our materials are made from TENCEL Lyocell™ and hemp. Both are plant-based materials that take less irrigation to grow and significantly less water to process.

Environmental Impact

Recycled Fibers and Fabrics

Recycled fibers use less water, energy, and chemicals than it takes to extract virgin fibers, while also keeping materials out of the landfill. We use recycled polyester and nylon for durability without the impact.

96%

of our polyester is recycled, keeping the strength and low-maintenance aspects of the fiber without the environmental impact.

In 2025, 1,854,268 post-consumer plastic bottles were turned into our recycled polyester styles.

68%

of our nylon is recycled, meaning you get the durability and flexibility of the fiber without the fossil fuel usage.

15%

of our wool is recycled. The other 85% meets the Responsible Wool Standard, prioritizing animal care and land impact.

8.6%

of our cotton is recycled. The remaining 91.4% is organic or organic in conversion.

Environmental Impact

ToadAgain Resale

Pre-loved clothing reduces landfill waste and closes the clothing circularity loop. ToadAgain is a platform to shop for and resell gently loved Toad clothes – and if something doesn’t meet resale standards, we make sure it’s responsibly recycled.

115,420 kg of CO₂ saved

thanks to ToadAgain purchases in 2025, keeping new materials (and their emissions) out of the equation.

821,786.81 gallons of water

through ToadAgain purchases in 2025, helping avoid the water footprint of new production.

Environmental Impact

2025 Emissions

We measure all emissions and purchase renewable energy credits to cover 100% of our scope 1 & 2 emissions, which includes direct emissions from our operations, and indirect emissions from purchased energy. These energy credits support amazing projects that reduce greenhouse gases and create positive environmental impacts around the world.

Supply Chain

Factories to Freight

We’re proud to work with progressive factory partners across the globe. All of our partners guarantee fair wages, lead the charge in sustainable innovations and sourcing, and commit to making long-lasting, quality products.

100%

of our Tier 1 suppliers comply with our strict code of conduct.

95%

of our clothing transported via cargo ship in 2025 (air transport is ~45 times more carbon intensive). As an ambassador for Blue Whales Blue Skies, we support shipping practices that reduce whale strikes, air and noise pollution, and regional greenhouse gas emissions.

Giving Back

Purpose for Every Purchase

Our clothing company won't singlehandedly change the world, but bringing together enough people who want to make a difference can. We give to, and volunteer with, non-profits that focus on conservation, equity, and accessibility.

1% of all Toad&Co sales are donated to our non-profit partners through 1% For The Planet. This includes organizations that advocate for environmental conservation as well as equity and accessibility in the outdoors.

For nearly 30 years, our social venture with Search360 has supported adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2025, we helped fund 8 adventure vacations for 78 participants.

In 2025, Toad&Co employees collectively volunteered 505 hours, a number that grows every year. Four of our team members also contribute their expertise by serving on non-profit boards.

We are a proud member of the Brands for Public Lands coalition, using our brand's voice to defend public lands; CORP, and The Conservation Alliance.

Beyond Sustainability

Proudly Certified B Corporation

In 2025, we were certified as a Certified B Corporation, we are committed to the highest standards of social and environmental impact.
